ROB WEILAND
Manager of the TP52 Class

If you sail in the Mediterranean you ought to be here, because the Copa del Rey Audi Mapfre is the main international event on these waters. To be honest we are in a difficult position, and we just came back from an Audi MedCup Circuit race in Cagliari, and must go to another one in Portugal in less than two weeks.

Teams must do a big effort for that, and thus some decided not to come. So the ones that came must be praised for that. Regarding our class, in 2011 we'll have a new rule, and the TP52s will look very much like Spanish CAM.

DIANE McCONNEL
Manager of the SWAN 45 Class in the Copa del Rey Audi Mapfre

This event is the favourite for the Swan 45 class, just fantastic, and the organization, from the sports point of view as well as from the social one, can't be better.

And it gathers a very international fleet, with boats from Argentina, Chile, the USA or even the United Arab Emirates...the wind is consistent and predictable. It seems as if everyday at 13:30 someone pressed the button!”

VASCO VASCOTTO
Skipper on board Mutua Madrileña

"It's been a great day today for the Mutua Madrileña. In the first regatta we did a very good start, but little after that Realstone Matador moved up. In the second we worked well, we risked and ended with a victory, we weren't specially aggresive but we took the risk and in the downwind legs we had a little advantage.

I have only good words for my team, they've done such a good job and they've struggled for every centimeter in each of the legs, it's a young crew and they learn a lot day after day. They were just perfect in each move."

RAFAEL DIAZ
Piano del KARHU

"In the second race we've done a very good start, we wanted to cover Madrid, Lexus had tacked long before so we were kind of calm, but then we've seen him comming up really fast...we didn't know who Matti Sepp was, now we know he's a good match race sailor...Madrid has touched our backstay with his spinnaker and they were penalized, but they been able to move up positions afterwards... KAROL JABLONSKI
Tactician onboard Synergy

"It's more complicated to sail in a fleet of five boats than in one of fifteen. We all have a similar level; it's like match racing but instead of two we are five boats: you can't loose concentration. I hope that we improve and get a good result".
